Behind the Scenes #03 – Task Force Badge & Flag

Sometimes a new project begins with a detailed plan. Other times, someone spots something in Star Trek Online and says, "Hey… what if we made our own?"

This time, our inspiration came from the Task Force badges and flags found throughout STO. Each has its own visual identity, combining an emblem, colors, and distinctive design elements into something instantly recognizable.

Naturally, we had to try it ourselves.

So we started experimenting with what a badge and flag could look like for Task Force 47 "Greyhound". Different shapes, symbols, colors, and layouts are being tested, ideas are changing along the way, and the design folder is already collecting versions that may never see the light of day.

Some things are starting to click. Others still need a little more time in the kitchen. We have ideas. We have drafts. We have a suspicious number of layers. What we don't have yet is a finished design. So for now, we're still cooking.

Task Force 47 will get its badge and flag...

...just not today.
