Evaulation: Commander Hawkins, while capable leader as evidence during her tenure as Chief Engineer first on the U.S.S. Indefatigable and now on U.S.S. Avalon, has show visible tendency to avoid being placed in position of overall command due to her actions on Capela IV, where her commands over a team of engineers assigned to repair a ground based long range communication booster resulted in deaths of 2 of the 5 members of the away team.

Since then, Commander has displayed a tendency to place herself in harm's way to mitigate or eliminate dangers to her subordinates.

This board recommends that Commander Hawkins have a mandatory meeting with the ship's councilor to help resolve the issues.

Captain Pellew stated the following: Lt. Hawkins has displayed a commendable ability to lead the engineering team with diligence, earning the respect of her engineering colleagues and the gratitude of the crew, as her technical skills saved the ship from destruction.
In 2410, at the end of the Klingon and start of the Iconian War, Lieutenant Hawkins transferred to U.S.S Avalon NCC 93449 (Yorktown-class) per the request of her academy senior and old friend, Captain Thryiss Ozosi.
