The ship was designed for long-duration missions in uncharted regions of space, combining exploration, scientific research, and diplomatic operations.

Its construction relied on the proven Odyssey-class architecture, with a duranium hull and modular systems, enabling rapid mission modifications. Sensor and communication arrays were optimized for detailed surveys and maintaining contact even in the most remote sectors. Maiden Voyage

The Endeavour launched under the command of Eleanore Hawkins in 2409. Its first missions combined exploration and diplomacy, mapping the Kalara Expanse, studying subspace anomalies near the Rho Eridani Cluster, and establishing contact with a previously unknown pre-warp civilization. The crew quickly demonstrated their ability to operate effectively in the demanding environment of long-duration missions.
